Штурманские наручные часы

This is the most famous in the world aviation watch that was the first to travel to space. “Sturmanskie” watch was the one that first Yuri Gagarin and then Alexey Leonov took to space. For a long time “Shturmanskie” watch was only made for the top military officers of the USSR Air Force and this watch was not openly sold. Since 2000 collector's models of the famous brand became available and popular not only in Russia, but also in the European countries.

Collections:

Strela is the continuation of the classical series of chronographs «Strela» that were produced by the First watchmaking factory «Polyet» since 1959.

Ocean is the continuation of the series of water-proof watch «Ocean» that was first produced in 1972.

Gagarin is an anniversary collection devoted to the first watch that traveled in space. In 2004 Yuri Shargin, a pilot-cosmonaut of a team named after Yuri Gagarin, traveled to space wearing this watch.

Sputnik is a collection devoted to sending the first satellite in 1957. It had an original execution with the second hand of one of the models made to look like a satellite rotating around the Earth.

SS-20 is a collection devoted to the legendary Soviet rocket SS-20 “Thunder of Europe”. In 1991 the last SS-20 rocket was destroyed by the order of the SALT Agreement. The titanium rocket airframes had to be recycled accordng to the program conditions. Part of the materials was used to create a watch “Shturmanskie – SS-20”. The watch case had an engraving saying that it was made out of a Soviet rocket.
