Anthem in honor of the 100th anniversary of the WC Slava

Pavel Petrovich Grankin

On November 29, a festive evening dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Slava brand was held in the capital's Yar restaurant on Leningradsky Prospekt 32.

The event was attended by employees and veterans of the Slava watch company, members of the National Watchmakers Association, partners of the Slava company, and honored guests.

Over the past decades, the 2nd Moscow Watch Factory has supplied more than 330,000,000 (!) watches and alarm clocks to the domestic market and abroad. Today, these traditions are continued by the Slava watch company, which turns to the rich heritage of the plant and rethinks it anew.

The opening speech about the activities of the Slava company, its achievements and today was given by the company's General Director Pavel Petrovich Grankin. The employees and partners of the company were awarded commemorative anniversary medals and valuable gifts.

Twice Hero of the Soviet Union, USSR pilot-cosmonaut Vladimir Aleksandrovich Dzhanibekov, actor, director and producer Ivan Ivanovich Okhlobystin, and many other honored guests of the event made a response speech to the company celebrating its anniversary.

After the official part, the celebration continued. The guests were treated to performances by artists from the cover band, the Yar "Faberge" show theater, and the "Romen" gypsy theater. There were humorous quizzes, prize draws, and a "Slava" watch lottery.

There were also other entertainments, dances, memorable photos, and delicious cuisine. In conclusion, a large anniversary cake was rolled out in front of the guests of the celebration. The celebration was a great success!

Ivan Okhlobystin:

“We celebrated the watch festival in the Yar restaurant, where Chaliapin and Yesenin polished the corners of the tables with their sleeves until they shone. There was everything - a corps de ballet, a “snake woman under the dome” and even the cosmonaut Dzhanibekov, who once blew the minds of physicists around the world with his trick with a nut in zero gravity. The celebration was led by the man to whom the old watch brand actually owes its survival - Pavel Petrovich Grankin. A modest, intelligent, kind man. A titan!”
