Watch Spetsnaz «Smersh»

In 2015, the watch company «Verny Khod» released a new collectible watch of the «Spetsnaz» brand. In honor of the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the model was dedicated to the legendary military counterintelligence service «SMERSH» (death to spies), which made an invaluable contribution to the Great Victory!

It took three years to prepare and produce the watch. This is a unique creative development of the design studio of the Verny Khod company. The prototype for the creation of the watch was the Soviet watch "Kirovskie", produced since 1939 and became very popular among the command staff of the Red Army.

The wrist version of wearing ordinary pocket watches at that time was achieved by soldering the lugs to the case. The industrial version of the wristwatch of that time differed little from the approach of craftsmen. The specialists found it interesting to do a modern restyling of the famous model. For obvious reasons, they could not afford banal copying. As a result of interesting and exciting design work, a modern transformer watch was created that has no analogues in the world!

The design of the modern model assumes easy transformation of a wristwatch into a pocket version of use. The precision-made steel case with millings and the back cover of the watch with matching reciprocal grooves-protrusions are perfectly matched, creating a perfectly sealed design with water resistance of 5 atmospheres. The military brutality of the case is achieved by the clear graphics of the SMERSH model design with the expressive clarity of rectangular protrusions.

The modern precision execution of the 3603 mechanism is made very festive, with decoration in the form of Geneva paths, blue screws and bright red rubies-plain bearings, a commemorative engraving about belonging to the SMERSH model on one of the bridges.

A special locking device allows you to almost effortlessly detach the easily removable segment with an eye for wrist use from the watch. One light press - and the wristwatch turns into a pocket watch! The glass lens, pressed into the steel bezel, creates excellent clarity and conciseness of reading the classic indicator hands and volumetric enamel numbers, vividly conveying the style of the 40s.

For particularly discerning buyers and watch collectors, there are options for a modern interpretation of the dials and a color range of decorative coating of the case elements: the case itself, the back cover and the protective bezel of the glass. The watch is equipped with a set of accessories made of genuine leather in two color options: brown and black.

A hermetically sealed, waterproof container in khaki color with an elastic foam tray serves as reliable packaging for this unique watch. The container holds a special identification badge of the Spetsnaz trademark and a commemorative SMERSH lapel badge. A pleasant surprise: the passport for the watch is stylized as a real SMERSH employee ID! Another nice accessory is a special canvas bag for storing and transporting watches when traveling, when the owner has a habit of having several watches with him to give himself the necessary style in different life circumstances.

Due to high demand and at the request of law enforcement agencies, an additional batch of watches from 501 to 800 numbers was produced.
